Independence City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers in the Independence Civic Center, 555 S. Main Street.  Agendas are published on the Thursdays before the scheduled Council meetings.  Meetings are livestreamed on the City of Independence Facebook page and are available after the meeting on the City's YouTube channel.  Recently, the City began working on technology to allow residents to "attend" meetings via Zoom.
